Corporate Human Rights and Employee Rights Policy

As a reputable and reliable company with its operations and performance, Titiz Plastik aims to create a work environment that respects human rights and to increase the level of consciousness and awareness of its employees, customers and stakeholders by generalising this perspective.

In accordance with the principles of human rights and corporate Ethical Principles, Titiz Plastik employees are obliged to manage their relations with each other and with customers without any discrimination based on language, religion, race, gender, philosophical belief, sect or other reasons and within the framework of honesty, trust, impartiality and transparency, and to maintain these relationships in a way that does not disturb the working environment, away from behaviours that may be perceived as maltreatment.

Titiz Plastik Managers are obliged to take the necessary measures to prevent all kinds of abuse, discrimination or harassment, and to report to the Human Resources department in suspected cases. When employees have a complaint regarding the proper implementation of these principles, they are able to report the situation to their managers or directly to the Human Resources department.

Such complaints cannot be used against the person complainant, and the situation is evaluated and finalised in a serious manner. When any actual case of discrimination, abuse or harassment is determined, Titiz Plastik is responsible for applying the necessary administrative sanctions against the responsible persons.

In line with its Human Rights policy, Titiz Plastik does not carry out any commercial activity with persons or companies that are found to perform activities restricted or prohibited by the national legislation or any international conventions to which Turkey is a party, employ child labour, or violate the human rights.

Under the leadership of the Turkish Republic’s Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Titiz Plastik has voluntarily committed to abide by the principles for the elimination of gender-based discrimination, in line with the “Equality at Work Declaration” prepared in cooperation with the World Economic Forum, and to be a pioneer in making these principles widespread throughout the country. Titiz Plastik supports women's participation in the labour force with its current HR practices, new personnel recruitment and employment of females and the company takes necessary measures to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all female and male employees, and aims to maintain a work environment dominated by equality and workplace peace.

Titiz Plastik takes care to provide equal opportunities in both recruitment and career development processes, without discrimination among its employees. Titiz Plastik aims to ensure that female personnel who give birth continue their career path and benefit from career opportunities at an equal level, in order to maintain a work environment that preserves the work-family life balance.

Titiz Plastik employees are recruited and employed in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Law number 4857. The company respects the constitutional rights for unionization and collective bargaining. Titiz Plastik takes highest level of care to create a healthy work environment for its employees. In addition to taking the necessary measures within the framework of legal regulations on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), proper occupational health and safety training programs are provided to the employees.

The wishes and complaints of Titiz Plastik employees regarding working conditions, personal rights, duties and responsibilities are conveyed to Human Resources department and actively followed up. Titiz Plastik does not discriminate between candidates in the provision of services or during the appointment and promotion processes, other than the proper competency criteria applied.

Titiz Plastik is completely against forced or compulsory labour and it expects its customers to adopt the same principles, through its declaration on human rights and various corporate policies.
